Wednesday, February 10

Today was "hymn" day for the team here in Costa Rica. The day started with a beautiful devotion by Bonnie and Carlos about hymn writer Fanny Crosby, who composed over 9,000 hymns in her lifetime.  In addition to her prolific hymn writing, she was an vocal advocate for the blind and a key supporter of numerous Rescue Missions in New York City.

At the Children's home, we continued our project of tie-dying shirts with the children.  Here are the finished shirts from yesterday along with the proud team member "helpers"

Out on the work site, we continued with our wire cutting and re-bar making,

Our form building,

Our cement mixing,

Pouring of cement columns,

And block work,

The team continues to make great progress!

We also had the opportunity to share an Ash Wednesday service at the Children's Home with our missionaries, Will and Ella.

Also, we need to give a "shout-out" to Ann Littleton, who sent her spare Colones down to treat the team to ice cream after our evening meal. Thank you Ann!
